Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, 2027

This intensive music program brings together some of the best high school string chamber ensembles in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa to work and play with NIU faculty who are also members of the renowned Avalon String Quartet. Activities include:

• Faculty performance
• Group discussions
• Coaching sessions
• Bowling at the Huskie Den with members of the Avalon String Quartet
• Master classes
• A final performance

The program takes place in the Music Building. Students stay in the nearby Holmes Student Center Hotel.

Ensemble Application

The deadline to submit an application and audition recording is March 12, 2027.
